Very knowledgeable. The doctor really takes his time to explain the procedure on our babies and gives you a chance to ask questions! I would highly recommend this facility because our dog is a week out post op for a torn ligament in his knee and he is doing so good. Way better than I thought he would be doing!!

I chose Phoenix to remove my mini-dachshund’s gallbladder and spleen after a glowing referral from the folks at K-State veterinary. Top to bottom, they did an excellent job—reasonably priced as compared to the quotes I had received from a couple corporately owned clinics, the front desk person was very responsive and knowledgeable, and Dr. Millard did an amazing job. We can’t recommend Phoenix Veterinary Surgical Specialists enough! Our 14 year old chihuahua tore a ligament in his hind leg and Dr. Millard was not only able to repair it but he was also able to stabilize his knee to prevent future injuries. The team at PVSS are top notch and we are so grateful they were able to give our dog his mobility back!

Our interactions with the staff and surgeon at Phoenix were wonderful! They were friendly and professional, and very patient. They are definitely dog people. They understand the stress associated with operating on your fur baby and make the process a very peaceful one. I would recommend to anyone that needs special care for their fur babies. My veterinarian highly recommended them also. They are also very affordable compared to other animal hospitals.

These are the most talented, kind, and dedicated individuals I have ever encountered. My cat had a very major surgery and initially wasn’t recovering as expected. Dr. Heather Millard stayed overnight with him twice, was incredibly communicative, was honest and personable. The entire team was incredible.
